UMD is tops in the WCHA in penalties, MTU is second.

Biddco remembers watching MTU-UND games this weekend thinking all the penalties and Tech fans complaining was nothing! Biddco reminds everyone that UMD is way better at this! :D

MTU Opponent's PIM/Game: 16.8
Difference: 5.58

UMD PIM/Game: 24.6
UMD Opponent's PIM/Game: 23.9
Difference: 0.7

It's not so much that Tech takes a lot of penalties, it's that they take a lot more than their opponents.

PB is wondering why the hell there is already hockey talk on sunday, PB thinks everyone should go out and make bad decisions so then we can make fun of them

Crazypotatoes isn't enough of an alcoholic to be going out on Sundays (yet). Any other day is fair game though :D

tBrenthoven agrees with tYager. Also, tBrenthoven thinks that tUMD will beat tMTU soundly both nights.

However, being that tUM is 1-0-0 when tBrenthoven wears tMTU jersey, and 1-0-1 when not wearing tUM gear, tBrenthoven will be sporting tBrenthoven's tMTU jersey and cheering for tMTU for tweekend, if only for tsuperstition.

tMonster is quite pleased that its third person week with tMTU and tUMD. The Monster kinda wishes that tSeries could be played on tWeekend after tTurkey Day, but only for some other shinagans that might have required renting of MTU's pep band for a possiable event in Duluth on that Saturday. None the less, tMonster is looking forward to annoying tDHG a lot soon. tSoon-to-be-Father-of-Twins doesn't like talking in tThird person, and most sadly, doesn't like tMonster.:(

Yager thinks it would be awesome but won't ever happen in the future. It's 4 1/2 hours to bring a maximum of 30 band members for a series that doesn't really mean much.

Crazypotatoes thinks a pep band trip to Duluth would have been epic considering they'd probably get some of MTU's comp seats... right next to the UMD band. :cool:

tIncredible Gulk can't wait to make the road trip to tDuluth. tIG is expecting a good weekend both at tgames and exploring tcity since this is tIG first time in tDuluth. tIG is also enjoying the use of tlittle t. :D

tIG also found this funny while looking at tWikipedia page about bulldogs.

tDiva is wondering if someone could remind her of how tThird person speak tradition in tUMD/Tech series threads began. tDiva just tried explaning it to her roommate and couldn't remember.

tDarkness would like to point out that placing the word the before Michigan Tech is stupid and irritates him as much as the when Ohio State uses it.

tDarkness would like to think that this tradition is to honor tDarkness because he is awesome, albeit a little narcissistic, and is known to speak in the third person from time to time and to butcher the English language even more often.

tDarkness is awesome but is also aware that this is wrong and that this tradition actually predates tDarkness himself, and even though he was told before he doesn't remember because he likes his story better.
