Coaching change thing on the forum.
What coaching change thing on which forum? Nothing mentioned in the Maine forums. Nothing on USCHO.com, nothing on CHN.
Coaching change thing on the forum.
That must be pure speculation. Probably due to the U-18 connection. I'm also not quite sure Cole has the resume to be seriously considered for that position. Has Red even announced his retirement yet?
I relayed the information and it comes from a reputable source with direct access to higher-ups in Yost. No I will not reveal names but I'd put this at about 97% probable. It's happening, of course it won't be official until after the team banquet....
I'd say Cole is right for the job, and he's surely got enough local connections and perhaps just enough incentive to embrace the opportunity. That being said, it seems to me that six years ago he was all but a sure bet for the job at MSU and, well, ...
Yeah - I'm going out on a limb here to say that if Cole lands with aajc, and this program stays with Anastos, what Hollis sewed in 2011 will be the most bitter harvest ever reaped by MSU hockey. Heck, maybe for the athletic program in general. And Hollis' status as a buffoon will be solidified.I don't have enough information to say either way. On one hand Cole is a sparty thus I'm leery. On the other hand Cole coming to Michigan will royally **** sparty off, that makes it worth it to me.

My guess is that your wish will be granted. It's 4:41 into the 3rd and Ohio State has scored 4 unanswered. It is my dearest wish that this is Anastos' last 15:19 ever behind a D1 hockey bench.
tRCMB has claimed that Hollis didn't return Nate Leaman's call back then. I have no idea how true that is but he certainly never considered an interview for candidates like Leaman and that alone is enough for me to get a bit miffed whenever Hollis is mentioned.
Boy I hope your right. It's 4:41 into the 3rd and Ohio State has scored 4 unanswered. It is my dearest wish that this is Anastos' last 15:19 ever behind a D1 hockey bench.
It's great to be a MSUFCU member. That kind of give-away is nice.Another season in the books. Another Big Ten Tournament without a win. A season in which we couldn't even get more wins than sweaters worn. And, if Anastos stays, another season where I get tickets from third party sites rather than give MSU money for this awful product.
I love your optimism. My guess is that your wish will be granted.
Well, at least MSU hockey can't hurt us for another seven months.
Hopefully, given that Hollis has chained this guy to our program like a boat anchor, year seven of the Anastos experiment goes a hell of a lot better than year six.

As for next season, I think we could have a decent year, Anastos or no. It would help if Appleton sticks around but one of the tv guys mentioned Osburn possibly leaving? That would be a disaster. His mobility and offensive flair is sorely needed on our blue line.
If everyone returns, we will have a more experienced and capable D-core and players like Hirose, Khodorenko, Lambdin and Saliba could all have great careers here. I suspect Gatt will be a rock on the blue line as well.
I won't ramble on about next year yet. We'll see what Hollis announces regarding coaching but I have a feeling it will include confidence in our direction, honoring Comley commits and PSU being lucky to be able to start at square one.
Although Osburn wouldn't have the impact that Krug has had at the NHL level, he skates well enough and cleans up on the defensive end to play as a pro right now. Given the right system he can be successful. But you are right - I don't know who could possibly take his spot as a puck mover right now were he to go.As for next season, I think we could have a decent year, Anastos or no.
