In our series against Denver 3 weeks ago, we had 13 skaters on the ice. We just got Leitner back this last weekend after getting hurt on his first shift of the year. Dorr was out until this last series as were Burkemper and Gaede. Elbrecht was injured in the first game and just was cleared to start practicing this last week (he's got something like 11 screws and 2 steel plates in his arm). Heath and Stern are still out as well. We're still playing a forward on defense. Realistically, it was a huge volume of injuries that were concentrated in a short period of time. Alot of the injuries were ones that it's impossible to know how long the will last. They were separated shoulders, badly broken bones, etc. And now we're finding out that Grant is out for the year and he was supposed to be one of the leading scorers on a team that wasn't going to score a lot of goals in the first place.

Biddco, Bale's got your answer better than most could put it. We couldn't dress a full team for quite some time, and now we are starting to get back healthy, and improving in play.

Wow, I just checked charter and they have the mn/sc game listed as does fsn. The national champs can't get tv coverage for a home game. You should look into getting into a better conference.

The Gophers - St. Cloud game is on three channels: FSN, Fox College Sports, and Charter Extra. Apparently there was just no room for the Mavericks/Bulldogs game, even on Charter Extra. I sent a complaint to Charter, for all the good it will do.

We have local tv coverage. It is in the Duluth area and on the Iron Range, it just isn't put on cable for folks outside of the area

Oh, I figured it was on in Duluth, and since Duluth is a Charter Cable city, there's no reason they couldn't have put the game on Charter Extra here in Mankato. I think the Gophers being on two channels would have been sufficient.

It is on My9. Which I am not sure if it has any affiliation with Charter.

Okay, that's a change then. Duluth's home games used to be on Charter Extra just like Mankato's are, and when we'd play Duluth up there we'd be able to watch them here just like we can when we play up in St. Cloud. If they're no longer using Charter Extra for their home telecasts, that would explain why it wasn't available here.

The deal with My9 must be exclusive to them. I heard a couple years ago Charter Extra would not carry UMD games. UMD gave their rights to My9, which clearly doesn't have connect to Charter.

UMD started slow but took care of business. Go for sweep with me in attendance!

And the Mavs play terribly, the power play still sucks, and only the freshman can do anything....

Good luck the rest of the way Dogs, 10 in a row without a loss is mighty impressive.

Sounds lke what I was expecting out of the Mavericks. Great to see UMD take care of business and have 10 unbeaten. I will be shocked if that makes it to the break but it is possible!

2 weeks to get ready for Tech. Followed by an average Bucky team. Not going to finish those 4 games unbeaten, but 3 wins is very doable.

My only worry is that Bucky will come out storming after we swept them in their barn last year.

I am going to both series so I hope to see the best from UMD :)
