MSU at Maine FRI 10/16

Re: MSU at Maine FRI 10/16

Darling wasn't blameless, but this wasn't all his fault. Maine just isn't any good.

I'm not gonna be that down on them. There are signs that they could be good, but I just can't get over how out of sorts they looked in that second period. They played better in the third, and looked really good the last three or four minutes of the game. They need to play with that sort of intensity for the whole game.

But again, whatever spark they do have, it seems TIMMAY just coaches it right out of them with his 'afraid to take any chances, don't make any mistakes' style of game. The players are so afraid to make mistakes they begin second-guessing their instincts, and play tentative.

Like I said, they reflect their coach, Timid Tim.

I have a feeling that we didn't see the best of MSU tonight. Maine might have the ability to play better. But that applies to the competition as well.
