Leon: The Professional. Good.
Foxcatcher:
Didn't hold my interest whatsoever. The actors did not do well enough for such a plodding story. Too monotone, too bland, too boring.
Did you think Carell was any good as the psycho du Pont? I thought he was pretty good in that role--even got an Oscar nomination.
I think I own the international version.
For a **** long time it was my favorite movie of all time.
Nope. Just checked. I have the Muricopy.
Dude you can buy it online
Jean Reno is awesome in all he does, and obviously Portman and Oldman are great.
Outside living in a cave, how do you (I) remain ignorant of that movie for 21 years?
I don't like the implications.
The Professional? I watched that movie YEARS ago. I just haven't researched purchasing the int'l version, is all.
I was talking about my own ignorance, Brent. I just watched it for the first time.
You'd be surprised at the movies I haven't seen, given the volume of movies I have seen.
Volunteering the obvious ones:
Gone With The Wind
Titanic
Schindler's List (on purpose)
Casablanca
Citizen Kane
I really enjoyed watching RKO 281 which is basically biographical on the making of Citizen Kane.Citizen Kane, it's a technical masterpiece and all, but I struggled to stay awake throughout the show. Yes, old movies have a slower, quieter pace, which I can usually handle just fine. CK just lost me.
