Movie Thread #50: Godzilla gives us permission to nuke our enemies

Hey, I take issue with anyone that says that Lady And The Tramp isn't the best Disney movie ever. I said ever. (yeah, I'm actually serious) :)

Fox and the Hound. Then Lady and the Tramp.

Kepler probably loves Olver and Company. :D

(Also, Tramp is my favorite Disney character)

Re: Movie Thread #50: Godzilla gives us permission to nuke our enemies

Oliver and Company was great.

Lion King was the best. And it’s not close.

Re: Movie Thread #50: Godzilla gives us permission to nuke our enemies

So, I'm watching Accepted (long story involving a movie club at work, trying to appease Dumpy coworkers so they don't kill me, etc) and I think I'm in love with Maria Thayer 13 years ago.

I'd put Fox top 5, possibly top 3.

So forgettable I forgot about it, passed it twice on Wikipedia, and then finally had to click on it to remember who the characters were.

😉

You're kinda a newbie, so I'll let it slide. ;)

Re: Movie Thread #50: Godzilla gives us permission to nuke our enemies

I was all about One Hundred and One Dalmatians and Pinocchio when I was wee.

Re: Movie Thread #50: Godzilla gives us permission to nuke our enemies

I'd also say Song Of The South, but apparently that's not allowed anymore.

That's actually a better movie since it became, you know, awful. It's MST3Kable now.

Another thing going for me. Which is nice.

People so threatened by others' tastes they accuse them of "using them big words" and "pretending to like high brow stuff when you really like the same low stuff as everybody else" doesn't tell me anything about the movies being considered. As with Dump, they tell me about the fragility of their own ego.

Don't sweat it, Handy. I would never refuse a drink with you because of your movie taste.

I wouldn't drink with you anyway.

That would make me sad...but I wouldn't offer. I would kill myself listening to you pontificate about why X actor hasn't been good since some movie nobody thought was good except the guy at McDonald's with a film degree ;)

You're thinking of Gay Purr-ee and it wasn't Disney. Lady and the Tramp sucks.

The best Disney movie ever is Snow F-cking White. Nothing is close. Sleeping F-cking Beauty is place, 31 lengths off. The Little F-cking Mermaid is show but by then it's noise.

Of course you like the movies where the women can't talk and are subservient! Such a good Progressive :D

Re: Movie Thread #50: Godzilla gives us permission to nuke our enemies

The movie that was recycled from The Jungle Book?

Disney recycles everything. I am pretty sure there's a play-by-play out there somewhere on the animation. :p

Romeo And Juliet has been recycled once or twice, also. It's all in presentation. :D

Re: Movie Thread #50: Godzilla gives us permission to nuke our enemies

Oh and Aladdin destroys Lion King. Lion King sucked outside the soundtrack :)

Snow White: a bunch of dudes take her in, while she's comatose, fawn over her, but don't do anything, until a supposed prince or something takes an unwanted kiss from her, and suddenly she's woke.
