Re: Monday 11/1/10- Scores in Binary Code

Any score from Matthews Arena, yet? Just wanted to see if Bowes tossed that newspaper boy hat yet? :D

Wentworth scores :22 into the 3rd thanks to Shaun Jameson. 1-0 WIT

EDIT: Becker ties it at :49 thanks to Brian Murray. 1-1

There are 10 kinds of people in the world: those who understand binary numbers, and those who don't.

It's time for this thread to bit the dust. Or is it byte?

Re: Monday 11/1/10- Scores in Binary Code

I used it because it is "Extended Binary Coded Decimal Interchange Code", but alas, it is still IBM's mainframe baby and also in use in many legacy applications and databases - for better or worse.

I knew what it was, just shocked that IBM still has it around - I once used an IBM 1620 and an IBM 360 back in my early career. The 1620 used BCD (not even extended) a very inefficient scheme since each nyble would only represent 0-9.
