MN vs. MN State Mankato: Where Exactly Are The Speed Traps On 169?

Re: MN vs. MN State Mankato: Where Exactly Are The Speed Traps On 169?

Well the wild already won this game, show me some Gopher hockey!

Scoob: One last thought besides Post 171.

There is nobody in the "treasured M" defensive corps that remotely intimidates an opponent offensively or defensively.

Honestly, which of the UM defensemen would dress (top six) for DU or UND right now? Don't say Ness. They way he's playing Joe Gleason would play ahead of him. And Leddy is proving he's soft physically. Harsh, but I believe the "eye tests" are there.

True.

To be fair, Leddy missed several weeks with a broken jaw. I wouldn't expect much on the first game back. He looked a lot better tonight.

A slugfest between two bottom feeders. Whoop Dee Doo.

As most predicted: Split. Bottom of the WCHA all the way. Yeah, best of 3 on the road in March!

Right. He's also a frosh and needs a time to adjust as well. But I think he is showing signs that he has excellent full ice vision, plays smart positional hockey, decent shot...as he beefs up a bit he's going to be very good physically for Gophers as well.

Oh, and just so you know. It was supposed to be Fairchild. One of the national sites (inside I think) had him a preseason All-American. He's not getting it done either.

Who?

{spins milk carton from side with Schroder on it}

Oh, this guy on the other side. Got it. ;)

I like this milk carton illustration. Is there such a thing as an 8 sided one? Maybe we need a 10, I dunno know.;)

a good split, and since it was split - i sortof wish the outcomes were reversed (just to satisfy the home ice fans)...

i was really impressed with birkholz, and i think he is a kid who might be able to help turn things around for the gophers. he played some motivated hockey this week and deserves more ice time.
