Even after the Sioux sweep, the Rodents can still rise to mediocrity this year. Watch the Sioux bounce Ness around like a little pinball. Watch Nick Leddy prove he's not ready.

This should be a good series, I would guess much closer than last year's series in GF.

The Gophers might be rusty in the Friday night game from not playing this weekend, but it probably won't matter with the intensity level.

Eidsness will have to play a bit better than what he did against Merrimack...he didn't play poorly, but with the Gophers having a bit more offensive firepower than Mack, he'll have to be sharper.

I was very impressed with all the Sioux freshmen. Kristo and Cichy are both the real deal, they will be difference makers this season for UND. Gleason is another Genoway in the making. MacWilliam is a big player, but is a strong skater and a good decision maker. Rowney and Knight look good, etc.

Toews is a whole new player this year. He was injured for a good chunk of last season, and now we're seeing his true potential.

These are two very good offensive teams with great depth...should be fun.

I'm not a big fan of having @UND being Minnesota's first series of the year.

The last time that the conference opener for both teams was against each other was '99-'00. I wouldn't mind having the same results of that series (3 out of 4 points) and season :p:D:D

Note: That series was @Minnesota.

It is nice to know they have something to fall back on when there hockey careers collapse....now for your halftime entertainment, the university of minnesota's mens ice dancing team!

I'm not a fan of playing the Gophers the first real game either. I would much rather plays you guys in December or January for the first game against you. Should be a very interesing weekend!! I like our Sioux team so far this year - a good mix I think. Don't know what to expect from the Gophs?? Why didn't Kangas play in your exhibition game? (I was looking at the box score info and the other goalies were listed, not Kangas - Is Kangas not your starting goalie?)
