MLB 2025: The Dodgers vs The Field

GEAR GRINDER:

I'm sure some of you saw THIS TREND last Fall.

Well it has now trickled down to the High School level. And it's gonna be a complete shit show of epic proportions to officiate this coming Spring. Coaches are already specifically asking about the legality of it (nothing wrong with doing it on it's face).

The problem is gonna occur when collisions start occurring (between the runner and the fielder with the ball on the bag or a fielder without the ball beyond the bag). In a bases loaded situation, teams are already looking like they will just send the runner from 1st base out into short left field as a distraction if they can be safe at 2nd. This will allow the runner who started the play on 2nd base to possibly sneak home as a confused F4/F6 stand at 2nd base with a ball and a runner in short left field...

Oh the possibilities are endless here. And everyone thinks they can execute it to their advantage... Golly gee! I can't wait for the arguments to begin!:rolleyes::rolleyes:
Something similar just happened in the Tigers game. Ground ball to short, throw to second to end the inning, called out but it was tight and probably gets overturned on review. Second baseman immediately throws to third and they get the runner rounding third into a rundown and tag him out for a 4th out which takes away any possibility for a review or potential score.

Man the Rockies are bad. 2-10, 1-11 today. 38 RA in the last 4 games.
Um... guys?

The Rockies are losing again tonight. 1-10. In the fifth.

This could be a truly special team.

This is their 4th game against the Padres. The net score so far is 1-26. This is not the team beating up on them in those scores above.

After seeing the Rockies against the Tigers I sort of don't feel as terrible about them as I did before. They are much worse than the White Sox, and worse they look like they aren't playing with effort. I didn't realize they had Bud Black still? Again? Has all the signs of terrible ownership.

They powered back with 7 in the last two innings to lose 13-9, so run differential doesn’t look as bad now.
