MLB 2025: The Dodgers vs The Field

*snicker*
The Los Angeles Dodgers suffered their worst ever loss at Dodger Stadium on Friday night as they were routed 18-1 by the Houston Astros.
The last time the Dodgers lost by 17 runs at home was July 3, 1947, when Brooklyn, where the franchise was based until 1958, was on the end of a 19-2 blowout win by the New York Giants at Ebbets Field, according to ESPN.
On one hand: Ha!

On the other hand: Can someone beat the Astros?

Ryan > Skenes

Evidently Dunne was in attendance to watch her beau, and I’m a little weirded out at how much many 40-50+ dudes were all atwitter about it.

Went to the Red Sox game last night. Was originally planning to go. Then I tried to sell them. Then the few people I asked were unavailable. Then I thought I might go alone, at least for a bit. Then a friend who lives in Milwaukee reached out out of the blue, she was coming to Boston, was going to the game, was I planning to be there? Yes! Then I called another friend who knows this friend and she was able to join me. Then we all met up before the game - great to catch up! Then the Red Sox starting pitcher gives up a run early in the first. Great. Then in the second he runs to cover first, hurts his knee, they take him out. Then the relief pitchers did a suck ass job, including two wild pitches (or passed balls) in a row to score two runs. Insert eye roll emoji.

Then I went to go get ice cream but first walked thru the park to try and see Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner who were there with their kids. Couldn’t get near so then I talked to an usher, asked where First Aid was because I was starting to get a blister on my ankle. Got band aids, then I went to the ice cream concession stand and the line was soooo long. Then I went to a different stand which had a not so long line. Then I was watching the game on the monitor while waiting and saw that the Sox scored to make it 4-3. Then it was the 7th inning stretch and I saw Ben, Jen and kids left. Then it was the bottom of the 9th and rookie phenom came up to pinch hit and got a walk. Then Ceddane Rafaela came up to bat. Then everyone in Fenway stood up. I didn’t. Too nervous. Then I noticed that the center field flag was blowing out. And then I realized Rafaela was a right handed batter. And then - BOOM! Over the Green Monster!! Fun night.

Some Phillies players are mad because Miosorowski from Milwaukee got picked for the ASG over two of their pitchers, with Castellanos going as far as calling it Banana Ball. Except now it came out MLB asked 12 pitchers if they would pitch in the game if selected before they decided to ask Miosorowski, and they all said no, including the two Phillies pitchers. Saurez was an outright no while Sanchez said he was willing to pitch, except he's starting today and it's now protocol to not pitch in the ASG if you start the Sunday before, so the Phillies wouldn't let that happen.

It's a real pleasure when that team loses.

Mets trying to hard not to enter the ASB in first. A thing we have done maybe 5 times ever.

Edit: twice. 1986 and 2006.

Long season and all that, but is it time to get a little worried about the Tigers? Six game losing streak to Tampa (1), Seattle (3), and Texas (2). Skubal on the mound tomorrow so if we lose that one, hit the button?
