MLB 2015 - Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!

Word on the street is a member of the Astros' scouting team once worked for the Cardinals, had a list of passwords he used, and someone with the Cardinals managed to guess the right one. More dumb luck/opportunity than anything.

Ya, I read that was the speculation at this point.

The thinking was that (insert Cardinals computer whiz kid here) had some belief that the ex-cards employee, now Astros employee, may have taken info before he left.

It wasn't the scouting team. It was the Astros current GM, Luhnow, who worked for the Cards. I guess he has the reputation of being an asshat.

Train wreck in Boston. Who gets canned first? Manager or players?

Well, if you're going to get hit #3,000, that's quite the way to do it.

A solo shot off of Justin Verlander puts Alex Rodriguez at 3,000 hits.

Re: MLB 2015 - Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!

Let's break down Jeter & A-Rod.

Jeter:
Nails models & actresses like it's going out of style.
Marginal fielder up the middle. Was good for an amazing play once in a while.
Excellent hitter.
All-around nice guy.
No evidence of cheating. At all.

A-Rod:
Nails models & actresses like it's going out of style.
Currently marginal 3rd base defense. Might have been better than Jeter at short when he joined Yankees.
Very good hitter.
Known scumbag that nobody likes.
Known cheater.

Intangibles are the reason Jeter will be a 1st ballot hall of Famer and A-Rod will be chilling with Bonds, Sosa, McGwire, and Clemens.

He leaned into that pitch. Almost as bad as bunting for a hit down 6-0 with two out in the 9th.

Houston Chronicle says former player and MLBN analyst Darryl Hamilton one of 2 found dead in Houston home from apparent murder-suicide. :(

Investigators said it appeared Hamilton had been shot more than once and Jordan died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Police said the couple's 14-month-old child was also found unharmed in the home. The infant was turned over to the state's Child Protective Services.

wow, I just can't believe Pete Rose would lie. :p

He was supposed to be involved in ASG stuff this year - wonder if they'll give him the boot.

I have absolutely zero sympathy for him. He knew exactly what he was doing and what it would cost him, but he doesn't want to pay the consequences (or thinks he shouldn't have to). His arrogance knows no bounds and he continues to lie about it.
