Misery Loves Company: the I'M SICK FEEL SORRY FOR ME PLEASE! thread

Kepler

Si certus es dubita
Bronchitis, now well into week two. It has already beaten back a Zpak, lots of hydrocodone and cough syrup, puffing steroids, and now it's meeting my final boss: Prednisone. According to Dr. Dr. if I'm not 95% in the clear in two days I'm getting chest x-rays and she'll start poking around for something worse.

I just want to say that being sick is, on balance, even worse than being in Boston.

Once I am better...

or dead...

this thread is intended to be the comfort source for others who are illin' and can't sleep and would like everybody to know just how miserable they are, possibly saving their marriages since otherwise they would have to be needy with their spouses (or mothers, or FSK controllers).

To be clear, this thread is not for medical advice. It is for whining, complaining, b-tching, pouting, and generally feeling sorry for your own d-mn as-s when you are sick, which I submit is both a Constitutional right and a beatitude.

And now I'm going to cough for thirteen consecutive minutes as my ribs feel like they are shattering and yellow ooze pours from my every orifice.

when I was your age I would walk uphill in snow both ways with a cough and not whine. so strap one on and keep quiet!

"Strap one on"?

That's a different thread, mookie.

I'm still sick; thank you for your concern.

A whining thread, eh?

Now you ARE really ill :(

Huh.

Never had the itch though I must say from a purely aesthetic POV my time in Hawaii was not unpleasant. Not just the beaches, but everywhere.

Coming from the Acela Corridor the original settings of my standards are, of course, abysmally low -- have you ever seen the local talent on The Island? And there was nothing sexual about what I was seeing, but, still, it's another place to join NC, AZ, and the left coast atop Maslow's Beauty Pyramid.
