Minnesota Women's Hockey 2026-27: Here Comes The Boom

Taking a momentary break from sandbagging to be somewhat serious...

I agree with what ARM mentioned about the new coaching staff taking an approach to geting all the players involved. That is reflected in the scoring, which is prettty evenly distributed throughout the lineup.

Off of the momentary break from sandbagging...

The apathy is palpable in here for the tunnelers. The series against a very depleted dog's squad gets no response on this thread.

Watched Friday but didn't have the chance to yesterday. Nice sweep coming in before a week off, you never want to lose your last game before a break. Happy to see Hartmetz got her first goal. Interesting there are now two series of the first five where Clark has played both games. But in regards to The Apathy™, it does seem like the women's forum on GPL (of which I am also a member under a different name) is a little more active this year. It'll happen here too, eventually.

Yes, the forum over on GPL has more activity. GPL has expanded their input of Gopher women's hockey which is nice to see.

Beats the "yuk" losses for the two programs' last meeting. UMD was impacted more by the national team members being away. Gophs should take it as having survived a tricky weekend during the schedule disruptions with the loss of only one point (Dogs could easily have been the OT winner in first game). They have to get better, but May at least seems to be cognizant of that.
