Minnesota Women's Hockey 2026-27: Here Comes The Boom

This is for eastcoastgopher...

I just got back from a road trip to New England with 3 other Gopher fans. We covered all six New England states plus New York so I assume we where somewhere near where you are out there. Would you have been up for a meet up with some fellow Gopher Hockey supporters?

I thought about it after we got back and in hind sight should have reached out to see if that was possible. We were able to see 8 ECAC and Hockey East campuses plus Lake Placid so it was a lot of fun in that regard.
I'm in the Yale/Quinnipiac area and yeah I definitely would have been up for it. The only time I meet Gopher fans are when I go to Gopher games.

One of the group I traveled with is a distant relative of William Samual Johnson who signed the US constitution. There is a museam and gravesite in Statford, CT so we planned on stopping there. On the way through to there we were able to see Uconn, Quinnipaic, and the Yale campus. Turns out we were right in your backyard.

We were all really impressed with the Yale campus and we commented that we would like to take another New England road trip because there is much more to be seen that we just didn't have the time to see (totally bypassed Boston and the campuses there). I will definitely reach out to you when we head out there again.

When the streets on the isthmus in Madison WI were laid out, they were (mostly all) named for the signers of the US Constitution.

The Kohl Center's address is on Dayton St (Jonathon Dayton, of New Jersey). One block to the north of Dayton St is Johnson St. And Johnson St is a major route through town and across the isthmus. It is indeed named for William Samual Johnson.

(While LaBahn Arena is right next to the KC, its address is "just around the corner" on East Campus Mall.)

Random fact, my wife is a distant relative of Dr. Benjamin Rush, who is a signer of the Declaration of Independence.

I'm moving (elsewhere in CT) soon so I can divulge this, but the town in Connecticut I've lived in for the last handful of years is called Madison.

It's been mostly bad news for the tunnelers with the 2027 recruiting class after the coaching change, losing 3 of their earlier commitments to Pigten rivals.

But, as reported on GPL by ECG, the tunnelers have received a commitment from Canadian defender Anais Leprohon for 2027. That is a pretty good commitment to procure this late in the game.
