Pretty good first period by both teams, Minnesota only had 4 shots on goal but one found the back of the net. 1-1 after 1

Have to say I'm happy the Gophers escaped that period tied. Wisconsin has stepped it up tonight. MN has to match it or get blown out.

Not nearly as effective in the offensive zone tonight. They need to keep getting pucks deep and forechecking. Force the Badgers to keep up the physical play all night or get punished for taking a shift off.
