Minnesota @ Wisconsin: 1/30 & 1/31

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin: 1/30 & 1/31

This has always been true. This year is no different. Half the people at the hockey games just followed the crowd to the Kohl Center assuming a basketball game was on tap.

A crowd? HA! That's funny. We all know there are no crowds there for hockey games unless they are opposing fans picking up the cheap tickets.

Or unless they were to switch arenas with the ladies and play at Labahn.

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin: 1/30 & 1/31

Is this the weekend where Badger hockey fans - what's left of them, at least - wave the white flag?

How come Badger fans haven't done that when the Gopher woman play at Labahn?

We're not afraid of no stinkin rodents on the gal's side. Bring it.

Funny thing is your men's team is so bad and the UW men are so skitzo that anything can happen this weekend. That might make it very entertaining for the viewing audience. It would make the season if UW could pull out some points out of this weekend and more hair out of the rodent fan base's heads.

Typical. Bucky's whole season is defined by a single game with us. I guess since the Whioux obsession is dying out a bit, it is time for someone to pick up the slack.

You're not afraid of our women's team? When was the last time bucky beat our ladies? It's been a while so maybe you should be afraid.

How can you interpret his post any other way?

I find it amusing that some members of some fan bases think so much of themselves that they believe that another team's season would be validated or a success simply by beating their team.

Uh, Timmy said it and he's a Stinkin BADger fan.

After seeing the results of last weekend the way UM manhandled UW, the rodents the week before REALLY peed themselves badly against UW. Any normal rodent team would have destroyed UW way worse than UM did. Please accept my apology on the sandbagging accusation. Your team does truly suck.

Apology accepted.

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin: 1/30 & 1/31

Isn't it always worthwhile to get the better of a rival? That feeling is a very different one than thinking that the entire season is a success, but it's at least a bright spot regardless of records.

I mean, I don't want to put words in Tim's mouth but I'm pretty sure that no one is ever going to consider our season anything but a complete disaster regardless of how the rest of the season plays out. But at the same time, anyone who says that they won't be at least a little pleased to see Minny's Schadenfreude On Ice is just fooling themselves.

Nah... let them take Tim's statement at face value and run with it.

Clearly the season was already defined in the first 4 to 8 games for a lot of Badge fans.

By any way you want to measure it, as long as the bus doesn't break down on the way, the gofers should murder Bucky this weekend. MN might be slumping but it's still not anywhere near being close on paper. On the very slim chance that Bucky steals a game, it won't make the Badger's season much better, but fans will still enjoy putting a big nail in the lid on the gofers chances for anything but an autobid. It's not much but it's something, and we're certainly taking anything we can get at this point.

So we're doing this again?

"Should" being the operative word here. Given their recent anemic offense the Gophers are in no way capable of murdering anyone right now. Unless they all of a sudden figure out how to score goals again I look for two very close games this weekend.

LOL.

No.

Nice try though.
