Minnesota @ Wisconsin : 02/15 - 02/17

While I agree the gophers are a better team the badgers should be able to get at least 1 point IMO. They got 1 point out of them back when they were struggling offensively (still are) and when Kerdiles (suspension) and Zengerle (injury) were out. The record Wisco has since Kerdiles and Zengerle came back is just amazing. Starting 1-7-2 and then going 11-2-5. I expect a great series matchup.

Not that I'm predicting a Gophers sweep, but Minnesota wasn't playing nearly as well as they are now when these two teams met earlier this season either.

Turns out it doesn't exist today.

:p:D

Gophers are playing much better, but so are the Badgers. Wisconsin's style can give the Gopher's fits at times, which is why it is always hard for me to predict this series. My heart says sweep, but my mind tells me anything can happen when these two teams play.
Another kicker(aside from how both teams are playing since the first matchup) is the ice condition for that outdoor game. Iffy ice could easily play a factor in the outcome of this series.

So you're saying iffy ice could potentially slow down our precision passing attack?

This thread is nowhere near as interesting or as distracting as the SCSU-UM thread.

Well, for one thing, we're not very good.

Another thing, we're not out to prove our worth and relevance to big sister like Jan-fan always is.

Fair enough. Since November 30th team records are:
Minnesota 10-3-2
Wisconsin 11-2-5
Should be a great series :D
Though keep in mind Minnesota played 5 fewer games

6 of your 11 wins during that stretch were UAA (4 games) and Alabama-Huntsville (2 games)

Indeed, it should be.

Regarding those stats:

Keep in mind though, the Gophers have only lost two games since Chrismas break, while playing a tough stretch of games against BC, Notre Dame, UND, Mankato, SCSU (all Top 12 Pairwise teams), and an easier series against AA. And both of those losses were to Top 10 Pairwise teams by only 1 goal. In fact, the Gophers have lost by more than 1 goal only once this season, and that was in their first WCHA series of the year against Tech (they lost by two goals).

Which plays RIGHT into our hands coz we can't score more than two goals in a game! You follow?
