Minnesota @ Wisconsin : 02/15 - 02/17

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin : 02/15 - 02/17

UW fans are quiet for good reason. The product on the ice is boring and the play does not lead to excitement. Get a one goal lead and hang on. We dump and chase and pass the puck on the outside on the PP and look for the perfect pass. Never happens. The players on the ice are afraid to take charge because back on the practice ice if they make an error they dont play. Talk trap all you want. Our guys are afraid to fail instead of just playing the game they love.

Actually the other way around. If you go you can see the set up is better for hockey. When it was built B Ball was an after thought. Not now.

Most games we outdraw you empty seats or not. You have twice the team. We still outdraw you.

All but one of our games are televised this season. Need I remind you of your television coverage? We also have 5 in-state programs (with a combined average attendance of roughly 28,000), you have one program to support. We also have a professional hockey team in town to compete against many nights.

I'd hope you'd outdraw us.

You're joking right? Other than the fact that the hockey team was originally going to stay at the Coliseum until they got extra money to add the ice, you simply have to watch a game at Kohl to know it wasn't really built for hockey.

Have you ever been up in the 3rd deck? You can't even see 1/3 of the ice! If you're sitting on the ends up there, no exaggeration, you can not see the goal from your seat!

Then again, seeing a puck go into the net doesn't see to be a priority for the Badgers.....

Must be arguing with himself, too much thinner and not enough deer I suppose.

Does anyone really think that if our arenas were the same size it would even be close? I don't think we'd sell out the X every night but would consistently draw 15k-17k.

Why do you think they play the trap? Keep the puck in the middle of the ice so everyone can see it. Another example of Wisconsin thinking of the fans.

Gophers sweep.

By the way, you currently are NOT outdrawing us anyways.

They will after the Gopher fans come to town and pad their attendance stats. Plus I think they will get credit for the Chicago attendance.

Either way running along at nearly 64% capacity is awesome. I bet the athletic department is doing high fives all day, every day.

To me it depends whether a larger arena would have more seats allotted to the corpies. I'm assuming yes, but Lord knows there are plenty of rubes out there who are chomping at the bit to get season tickets and you know a few of those people would help fill a larger arena if that ever were to happen.

Wouldn't they have to care about hockey in order to do high fives?

Badger sweep, no question.

But that would help with their NCAA chances and there are plenty of bucky fans that don't want to see them make it. They can't sweep for their own good! Which has nothing to do with the fact they are running into a much MUCH better team that should easily take them down. :D
