Tripping call on VT, another Gopher PP coming up. Huge hit by Helgeson a bit before the penalty.

VT kills off the PP again. Lots of good chances for the Gophers again, but can't bury the puck.

No score at the end of the 1st. Not sure on SOG, something about 15-9 or so for the Gophers, though.

Not a fan of your new PBP announcer this year...too cheesy IMO.

Agreed. If the pattern from last night holds, though the Gophers should be fine. 1st period was very tough and physical, and after that, you could see that the Catamounts were just wearing out.
