Minnesota @ UNO 2/25/2012

Re: Minnesota @ UNO 2/25/2012

I think it probably was a goal, but with the initial call being no-goal, that would be really hard to overturn with the replay.

Possibly. If the call in the ice was goal it probably stands for the same reason it was waved off; No evidence overturning the call.

Re: Minnesota @ UNO 2/25/2012

UMD leads 1-0.

TV announcers on top of their game. UMD comes down and hits post, gets another shot but whistle blows for net being off. The refs go to review the shot (off post) and the announcers start talking about maybe the second shot was a goal "because CC knocked their own net off". They show the replay about 6 times and it is as clear as day that a UMD player gets checked after taking a shot and crashes into the net, knocking it off. Yet they continue to talk about CC knocking it off. Secondly, the last shot, the one after the whistle, never even goes in the net anyway. How can two people so ignorant about hockey be paid to announce.

Correction, a Swartz scored . 1-1.

The one guy used to play at UMD, he is OK. The main talker is *hostile and abusive comment deleted.*

UNO Penalty.

How was that not a 5 for a penalty they clearly missed before this one was call.

Re: Minnesota @ UNO 2/25/2012

Huh. A little surprised I guess. On the replay I understand, though.

Exactly. Real time, I did NOT think it was a goal, and the TV had a better angle than Shep had. On the review, it looked to me like the puck was in before the net came loose, but I can't by any stretch say that it was enough to overturn the onice call.

And another missed CFB. Surprise, surprise.

EDIT: OR contact to the head, either way. On the plus side, andother PP goal on the blown 5 minute call.
