If the Gophers quit taking penalties they should be fine tonight, playing very well.

Yep, and he got tossed from the dot.

The issue there is trying to gain positional advantage by getting your head directly over the dot. Haula got his head helmet-bumped out, and wasn't going to give UNO that positional advantage. Arguably a pretty stupid decision to be that aggressive about it though.

They tried the same thing straight away on the next face-off and got tossed. Maybe if Condon had flown backward onto the ice there would have been a penalty call.
