I've only seen the 2nd period (was trying to watch on the big screen; Should have known better and just went with the desktop from the get-go) but MN seems to be doing a marginally better job defensively. Backchecking, blocking shots, defensive shape and not getting caught too often trailing on the transition. Doing a much better job of not being retarded and taking retarded penalties.
But so far it has really just come down to MN doing better than UAA with their offensive opportunities. Patterson looking strong of course helps as well.
If Rau keeps this up it's going to be a pretty **** ridiculous year for the kid. Pretty much everything you could have hoped for, and more.
