Minnesota Twins: 2013 Season Thread

Re: Minnesota Twins: 2013 Season Thread

This is what drives me insane (figuratively) about Anderson and Gardy: Chris Davis is hitting 0.600 and Robertson gives him a pitch to hit with the bases loaded. How the first pitch in that at bat isn't high and tight instead of over the middle of the plate, I will never understand...

Anyway, they are 2-2, which is two more wins than I thought they would have at this point.

Twins Win!

Well, Minnesota is 3-2 and has a chance tomorrow to earn their second series win in as many tries...not what I was thinking heading into the season.

Glen Perkins looked very solid in the closer role. If he can keep that up, we might be able to break 70 wins this year! :p:D:D

I'm actually excited to watch the Twins today.

Same here. Perkins looks good in the closer role. Morneau is off to a good start. If Mauer and Willingham can get their bats going, and if we can continue getting timely hitting from the bottom of our order, this season may turn out alright.

Of course, our starters really need to start logging more innings. 5 1/2 innings/start is okay, but it would be nice if they could push that to 6 1/2. If they could do that, and Perkins continues his play, that means we only need our bullpen to get 4-5 guys out/game. Additionally, our fielding has to get better. We're averaging 1 Error/game. When the Twins were playing good baseball during the 2000s, they were generally averaging only 0.5 Errors/game.

Six games in and we've won both our series against two playoff teams from a season ago. Hopefully the guys can keep that going against Kansas City this afternoon.

I get home from work...and the game is in the 8th inning...and Correia hasn't been yanked yet....because he hasn't given up a run? What. The. ****.
