Rauch has been a pile of suck for several weeks.

If not for Casilla's idiotic error, Slowey would have pitched at least part of this inning.

If not for the wild pitch, that would have been a GIDP.

And boy was that an awful rundown.

Did I just hear, "I thought we were friends?"

I think Jack Cust & Mathew LeCroy were separated at the buffet line.

I doubt it, he walked a guy and hit a guy in the 7th, he had almost no control left. Chances are he still is between 95-100 pitches even without the error.

Come on, Gardy would have to give him the opportunity to lose his shutout bid without giving up a hit.

But he didnt when he was just ten pitches beyond that with a 4 run lead...no Gardy had decided the second he let the Giant warm up that is why Bert and Dick were already excusing it ;)

All that matters is the win :D

Indians' starter today pitched a no-hitter through 6 innings.

His line: 6 IP, 6 BB 3K.

Royals had a perfect game through something like 8 innings today... AGAINST THE YANKEES.

I know it can't last much longer, but right now I have more confidence in Crain than anybody else in our BP. Both his fastball and slider have been looking very good for the last couple of months. Given Rausch has gone from shakey to worse since he lost the closer role and Mijares' innings have to go somewhere, I suppose both Crain and Guerrier will be overused to the point of uselessness.

As for Slowey coming out, any doubt that it was the right thing to do was answered in my mind when I saw him shaking his right arm on the mound during the 7th inning. I'd just as soon not see any more starts by Perkins.

If Blackburn regains his sinker, he can eat up some innings as a middle reliever.

And it sounds like he has found that sinker again in Rochester. I would much rather see a Blackburn with his good sinker than Perkins on the Twins roster.
