Minnesota State University Maverick Hockey: 2012-2013 Season Thread

Re: Minnesota State University Maverick Hockey: 2012-2013 Season Thread

Congratulations to those purple Mavs. Good luck in St. Paul on Thursday. A great opportunity to improve your PWR situation and end the season for the evil red menace. We'll be pulling for you!

Looking forward to see your team at the Final Five for the first time since I've been going. Beat boring trapping Wisconsin to hopefully kill their NCAA hopes.

Are there any doubts about Stephon being here next year? He seems like a free spirit and is really the only one I feel like that could bolt.

Micheletti said he was hearing rumors on Beyond the Pond on Saturday, but he's the only one I have heard even mentioned it. I dunno if that's reality though.

I was sitting at work reading twitter in regards to BGSU goalie going and it struck fear in my heart with the possibility of Stephon leaving.

He's still young and most of the team is back. Plus he's got a lady friend here in town, that could keep him here as well. (For at least another year)

Honestly, as great as he's been, I think he needs to be a little bit better fundamentally and make more of the saves he should. He makes tons of spectacular saves, but often times the ones that beat him he should have. Another year to improve on this could help him.

Can't see anyone else leaving, but we have plenty of hockey left to be played, this can be worried about when the season is complete!

Was hoping you guys could pull it out. With Hastings, I could see this be the first of many, many tourney trips to the X for MNS.

Oh ... He definitely "pulled it out". He "pulled it out" so hard that TV networks, advertisers and the ticket buying public would have a good case in court if they decided they wanted to get their money back for having been scammed.

Serious question, not trolling, how many games has Mankato won at the Final Five?

Sorry to see you guys lose, was hoping to face you guys instead of Bucky but what can ya do?

Before today, it was zero. But with today's results, it's zero.

I heard on the post game show (Kato's radio crew) that we have never won a game at the X either.

Correct. 0-6 all-time at the X, with 37 goals allowed in those six games.
