MSU penalty number 4-make them pay-sounds like the ECAC refs are going to be active this year

End of the first period and we are scoreless. Just getting our feet wet and seem to be playing well enough.

Where I stand for color, there is a banner hanging right in my face. Add to that, the hangiing scoreboard in the middle makes it virtually impossible to see the other side of the ice from my vantage point. I can see in both zones, but anything in te neutral zone, fahgeddaboutit. I can imagine what the visiting radio's PbP guy, who stands directly to my left, is able to see. I wouldn't trade it for anything though. When it's not crowded up there, it's not very restrictive, so we can move around a little.

I get the sense that we're outplaying these boys. Time for our snipers to start burying some. I'm just fine with a scoreless first period, especially with several penalties against us. Go red!

I believe it was mentioned during the exhibition game that conditioning wasn't there in the third. Hopefully we can use that to our advantage.

I would just love to have a year where we get stronger and more scoring as each period progresses. We haven't had that in some time and I would just love it if we started to own the third periods.

We started that last year. Unfortunately it tapered off from there. One thing we do NOT need is a dreaded second period.
