Minnesota @ Notre Dame 11/9/2013

Re: Minnesota @ Notre Dame 11/9/2013

ND ties it up with 1 second left in the 2nd

They had a 5 on 3, Serratore took a major then Rau took a penalty.

Re: Minnesota @ Notre Dame 11/9/2013

A could be 5 minute checking from behind into the boards that was called a 2 minute call. A knee which would normally be 2 minutes but was called as a 5 minute. And a check by Rau that was called roughing. All calls in Notre Dames favor resulting in about 6+ mins of straight powerplay including what would have been 4 minutes of 5v3 without the goal. A series of borderline calls there, refs.

Given the quality of the feed and the complete lack of any replay it is difficult to say.
Kneeing is fairly routinely given 5-minutes. I don't have a problem with that one. The last one on Rau...seeing it in real time I was shocked to see the arm go up, but hard to make a good judgement without seeing a replay. The hit on Boyd that was called boarding I don't think deserved 5, although again it's hard to make a judgement without a replay.

My bigger issue is that ND's 2nd and 3rd goals both came after Gophers were taken down on borderline plays.

And if the Gophers had any discipline the knee and the rough never would have happened. Instead they decided to go insane.

We'll see if they can fight through being shorthanded for 7 or so minutes including being down 5 on 3 for way too long.

Stay out of the box in the 3rd please.

Re: Minnesota @ Notre Dame 11/9/2013

13:38 left in 3rd 4-4

4 on 4

Gophers had a PP coming but Warning took a stupid penalty to even it out.

Re: Minnesota @ Notre Dame 11/9/2013

Lucia taking my advice and Gofer's doing everything they can to keep from going on the Power Play. Skating 4-4.
