The simple fact is MN's PK is so horrendous that they have no margin for error when it comes to positioning or discipline. They simply cannot take penalties because it's pretty much a given the opponent will score on the ensuing powerplay.

And their PP is almost as good as their PK.

Wow, MN retakes the lead. Sacchetti on the powerplay. Initial shot from Ness bounced off someone in front and went right to him and he roofed it.

Now watch MN commit a dumb penalty and give the lead back. :p
