2nd Goal for Condon, nice shot through the crowd, Reiter never saw it, I don't think. 4-2 Minnesota

Re: Minnesota @ Minnesota-Duluth 10/15/11

I don't think he ran him on purpose. Hear me out, it's a very small difference. He wasn't thinking, "I'm gonna take Patty out." It was more the fact he didn't try and avoid any obvious hit.
If you make no effort whatsoever to avoid the goalie and you knock him down, that constitutes "running the goalie".

It's all about intent in that instance. Scooby and MNS also agree with me.

Re: Minnesota @ Minnesota-Duluth 10/15/11

Wonder if Reiter will be out in the third... he's constantly looking behind him... after each of the 'numerous' shots the Gophers have sent his way

This. This is what I'm referring to; your response to MNS' post, which is how I feel.

Yeah, and that's fine. But in that situation it is his responsibility to "avoid" the goalie. Since he was negligent in his job he belongs in the box for running the goaltender.
