Horrible play from the Gophers in 1st. No offense...crappy D. Clearly outplayed by MTU

Minnesota needs to take better care of the puck. Right now they have no real possession in the offensive zone. That was key to their success last weekend. Granted there is less time and space on the NHL sized ice, but it needs to be better. Easier, simpler plays to keep the puck in the attacking end.

Don't know where the criticism of Shibrowski is coming from. 1st goal was just a ridiculously nice play by Tech. 2nd he clearly didn't see it until it was right in front of him, and on long shots when you don't see it you get down and take away the bottom half of the net...which is what he did. Third he was totally left hung out to dry by his team.

I said over at GPL before the game started that Tech was going to be playing a bit more up-tempo than some of the fans were expecting, and that they had some guys who can really shoot the puck.
Folks are going to have to get used to the idea that this isn't the same old Tech. It used to be that the fans expected them to lose, the coaches expected to lose and the players expected to lose. That's not the way it is anymore...and they have some pretty good skill to boot.

The Gophers are going to have to earn it if they want to win tonight.

Didn't think Shibrowski was doing bad... just had no support from his teammates... Hopefully Wilcox's style of play will spark some juice in the Gophers

Lucia doesn't pull a goalie when it's the D's fault. IMO, Shiby seemed a little nervous/stiff to me and was not mobile enough to match the speed of MTU. Wilcox seems more agile.
