Should be an interesting weekend all around. The first B1G title to be determined plus 1st/2nd round action around the rest of the conferences.

T minus 10 days and counting to the B1G tournament tailgate :D

It should be noted that there are huge implications for Michigan too. They currently sit in 14th place in the Pairwise/RPI. That makes them a bubble team. If they get swept by the Gophers they're likely falling out of the top 16. Sweeping the Gophers would likely move them out of the danger zone.

You have to figure that they're in desperation mode. They lose this weekend and their only hope is an auto-bid from the tourney.

This will be a good measuring stick to see what both teams are made of when the rewards are high. Gophers split/sweep, they win the title and likely the #1 seed for the NCAA tourney.

At Yost, against a desperate team, I would settle for a split.

After we win on Friday and grab the B1G reg season champ, we can throw the ugly helmets a bone by resting our players Saturday and letting them tie one to maybe salvage their post-season.

Why not be safe and throw them 2 bones? After all, don't we want to ensure that at least half the league makes the NCAA tournament?

Why would MN care whether MI makes the NCAA Tourney? Bury them both games.
