Gopher Hockey
Minnesota welcomes Bucky to Mariucci this Friday and Saturday, game times are at 8PM and 5PM, both games are televised and Saturday is part of Hockey Day Minnesota.

Wisconsin is coming off a tie and a loss to BU at home and Minnesota got swept at Michigan.

Hardly. This Gopher team has been under performing and there is serious question as to whether they will be in form to compete or qualify for the national tournament, but they are not looking like a bottom half Big10 team.

Sometimes looks can be deceiving. The way they've been playing that's exactly where they'll end up, maybe 4th.

I see big things for the Gophers this weekend.....

Sconnie reverses their offensive/defensive trends with a 4-1 win on Friday evening as Rumplemintz shines like he always does against Minnesota.

Don't worry, Gopher fans. I think the Gophers will bounce back with a "tie" on #HDM in a 3-2 shootout loss as Rumpelmintz does it again.

I believe as sickening as it sounds that the Badgers are just the tonic that the goofs need to turn it around. I will be surprised if we earn a single point.

Nothing improves a defense more than the 54th ranked offense and 56th ranked PP of Wisconsin. Couple that with the 57th ranked PK, and 52nd ranked defense and Minnesota should run circles around Wisconsin. Maybe Rumpel steals a win or tie, in which I would consider a good result at this point.

Ugh.

Shame I'll have to miss the massacre... er... series.

I will be up north with my old college buds. So all will be fine, especially after plenty of drinking...

Two worst teams in the Big 10 in a head on collision and you think it'll be a massacre? I expect two 6-6 contests. I'd put 0-0 but the defense and goaltending for both squads is so bad right now I think a lot of goals will be scored.

Sadly the way they've been playing lately that's exactly what they look like. :(
