:confused: An intrastate rivalry is always filled with some surprises...just like two weekends ago. The Gophers are the obvious underdog, but I think they come out strong and if they play hard for the full 60 minutes, a split is a possibility on home ice.

A common critique of Craig Dahl from some St. Cloud State fans is that he was too happy to accept a split.

Ok, knew who Craig Dahl was, but didn't know the "split" reference. Dahl did have a few awesome teams during his career though. The 2000-01 team was stacked.

The Big Ten is 13-24-9 against schools that aren't in Atlantic Hockey or in their first year at Division I. Is that just a down year? Even in a down year, isn't that pathetic considering the advantage in resources and prestige that the schools in the Big Ten have?

When it comes to hockey, two of the six schools in the league really don't have a great deal of hockey history. Pedo State is new to D1, of course, but then tOSU hasn't ever really done much. They've shown promise a few times, but nothing's ever come of it.

And no one cares about WI hockey. Even WI administration.
