When will the MSHSL get it? So stupid. Hermantown played a good game.

Who knows. They're the only ones in the state that haven't figured it out. There is no doubt that that Hermantown is the best class A team in the state.

Hermantown has been just about as dominant as STA recently. Why no outcry for them to move up? I think they showed they're just as good as STA today...

FTR...I think they both should.

Every year or two, they could take the best A team in each section and promote them to AA while sending the worst AA teams down. That would prevent teams from having a stranglehold over the class A tourney.

BTW, your school stole one of the best young players from my high school this season. Yay private schools!

Not that it being a heads-up play is inaccurate, but extremely lucky is far more accurate. He needed the defenseman to whiff to even get a stick on it, and then banks it off the post, off the defenseman's skate, and in.

Looooooong ride home for Duluth East.

STA's record against the big boys this season demonstrates the fact they can't hang up here, so they, like Warroad, are content to dominate the little kids. I think Hermantown would be competitive in 7AA, but ultimately could not compete with the top programs in the state either.

What a great game last night! Totally impressed with Duluth East...they should be a force next year. Although Rau's goal may have been a bit lucky, it was a total hustle play. Got to love HS hockey!
