Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

6-4 Hermantown after an ENG. At first I feel really bad for Hibbing, but then remember that they are very young. I also remember how close Hermantown got to the title last year, who lost to Breck on a bad bounce with a little over a minute left in the game.

6-4 final. Good season from Hibbing-Chisholm. I have a feeling they'll be back.

So, what's the over/under on how many goals STA scores against TRF?

My strong wishful thinking is going with TRF shocking the world with the upset. But part of me hopes that STA wins by 10 every game, to force the MSHSL's hand.

Underway in Class A semifinal #2

Still no score. Thief just killed off an STA PP, now Thief will be going on the PP.

Go Prowlers!

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

and now STA goes back on the PP, after killing off the TRF PP. Calling this one tight, I see.

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

Its too early to know what the outcome of this game will be, but it is already obvious that Thief River Falls > New Ulm :p

I was impressed with Muenier last game, and it sounds like he's playing well this one too. I wonder if we'll see him pop up on a D1 roster after a couple years in juniors.

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

Schroeder on a tap-in on a pass from Reid. :) 1-0 STA after 1.

Evidently Moorhead just didn't bring its offense down here. They lost to Lakeville North 2-1 in the consolation bracket. North had EIGHT shots on goal.

WBL beat Blaine earlier today. In 2OT, of course.

Nice goal by Schroeder. :) RPI got a real good bunch of forwards coming in next fall.

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

Housley avoids the question of whether or not STA should move up after Matvick mentions how well they've played against AA schools.

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

Well this sucks. This is why the NCAA doesn't let Duke play in D2 basketball.

I bet Ohio State would kick the **** out Minnesota-Duluth in football too.
