Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

Edina holds on at the end, 3-2 final.

Blaine had several chances in the last 5 minutes and just couldn't get one past Girard. Oh well.

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

Cake Eaters win...Blaine lost pretty much every important draw towards the end.

Yuck...

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

Unlike most people, I don't have a problem with Edina, I just have taken a liking to Blaine because I bought my house in their district.

I used to drive zamboni at Braemar, so follow them more than I should...

Classic Lake teams can kiss my *****!! Especially the Cake Eaters...I hate them more than private schools

SHUT UP GEORGE!!

:p

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

I only like that Edina won because my bracket looks much better than if they had lost. :)

Jeeze, me too. But I probably drove it when you were in kindergarten or so. I used to do the Pavillion ice weekend mornings in like '71-72 or so. Were you there under Roger or Larry?

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

Just read that the attendance for this session is 17,625...for an afternoon session on Thursday. Well done, State of Hockey.

Larry - winter of '96-'97 while I went to Brown (Institute) College... I did weekday day shift, and once or twice a week a night shift on the East Rink (they were just building the new South Rink at the time). Not a bad gig if you can get it.

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

WBL looks rather soft, especially in their own end Duluth East just skates right in half the time.

Well look at the teams playing, they could not have had it work better seeding wise for the 2 sessions.

Yes, it worked out great this year. The place should be packed tonight also, 18,000+. I was thinking of going tonight, but I should probably just watch it on TV and plan on catching the semis tomorrow night.

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

WBL ties it on a deflection off the boards and a sleeping goalie. PPG to tie it up.

edit: then Duluth East scores right away...these goalies are not very good.

3-2 East.
