Better 2nd period today as Minnesota adds to their lead with a goal. 3-0 now.

Lots of sloppy play today but that's to be expected when you play three games in four days against the same team. They did a good job in gutting it out and getting the three game sweep. Next up: the BADgers in Madison.Minnesota adds a goal in the third and closes out a 4-0 win. I thought overall the Gophers played well today. #21, #9, and #18 were very good together as a line today.
They haven't, but I think that UM might have the highest ceiling. Unfortunately, they have also proven that they have a pretty low floor. In recent years, the Gophers have had me thinking that they could be a dangerous team if they put it all together, but then, they never did.I don't think they've played well enough for that ranking.
Some time back, there was discussion about whether UW or UM had a better freshman class. It will take a few years before we can say who is right, but so far, I've been happy with the group in maroon & gold.
So ARM if I'm reading this correctly you don't think that they've been the model of consistency? They haven't, but I think that UM might have the highest ceiling. Unfortunately, they have also proven that they have a pretty low floor.

I haven't seen UM play, but sadly the fab 3 Fr F for UW aren't so fab at this point, but it sounds like y'all are pretty happy with UM's. I cannot recall the last time when UW looked so disjointed. These 2 games are going to be fascinating as usual.
Agree. Two games a week with an occasional bye week to rest is perfect. By now the players should be getting into mid-season form. But as respect the Gophers we're still seeing too much inconsistency. They certainly have the talent to correct this! And we'll need it for all six periods this coming weekend. As disjointed as the first part of the season has been, I would think the coaches prefer a steady series of games to work out the bugs.
I probably shouldn't post this, since it likely won't last long, but the Gophers this week hold the No. 1 position in both the women's and men's polls. Does anyone have any idea as to when this last occurred?

With the Ivy League shut down, and many other teams playing a greatly reduced number of games, are we even going to have a national champ this season? The only one that counts is the one at the end of the year and 2006 is the only one you need to remember.
I can't say the Gophers played that badly but they are down 2-0 to the Sinners after 1 period.
