Lots of hitting, and short spurts of offensive attacks by both teams.

Great period of hockey. Very even.

Both teams almost get lucky goals, lots of back and forth, lots of hitting.

I thinking that neither team wants to "let the floodgates" open, and it's showing that the way both teams are playing defense and quickly falling back on anything that doesn't go their way offensively.
