Re: Michigan wolverines 2018-19
Ditto that
I'm sure it won't sell out, but I would like my seat if I can have it

4 teams are vying for the 3 home ice slots
Minnesota is in 2nd with 36 points
We are 3rd with 34
ND is 4th with 34, I am assuming we have the tiebreaker since that is the way they are listed
PSU is 5th with 32
Minnesota has finished their conference schedule so they will end with 36 points
ND and PSU are playing a pair in South Bend so one of them will go down or, worst case for us, a split
We will be in Madison for a pair.
I think our chances are pretty good to be playing in Yost 2 weeks from now.
Joe, we missed it. Apparently there was an email about tickets should we have home ice. Mine was in my spam folder and I didn't know until alfa mentioned it to me at the game last night. Deadline was Sunday the 17th. My seat mate also missed the deadline. I'm sure it won't sell out, but I would like my seat if I can have it
Hope you get your seats and wanted to say I'm glad I got to run into you after the game for a quick "Hi". Best of luck in the first round tournament game.
Win or lose, Yost has one of the best if not the best environment for college hockey. Plus I will wear the free Maize out shirts when I come back up for softball!Thanks. It was nice to see you. I hope you enjoyed your time at Yost.
So I just called the ticket office- and got our seats for the round one game.
One *might* have not gotten an email if you included the playoffs in your season ticket. I had no idea that was an option- as I would have done that...
But you can get your seats for the first round.
A win this weekend gets us home ice regardless of other games (3 points puts us ahead of Minnesota and out of range of State and Wisconsin).
The "Worst case" scenario would be PSU sweeping ND in South Bend and Wisconsin sweeping us on their sheet.
That would put PSU 2nd with 38 points, Minnesota 36 points both at home then a 3 way tie at 34 points between us, Notre Dame and Wisconsin.
I have no idea how the tiebreakers would shake out.
When two or more teams are tied, ties shall be broken according to the following procedure.
a) Seeding amongst tied teams shall be determined by the greater number of Big Ten regular-season wins;
b) If not determined by (a), seeding amongst tied teams shall be determined by the team with the best regular-season winning percentage against the other tied team(s);
c) If not determined by (a) or (b), seeding amongst tied teams shall be determined by the team with the fewest number of Big Ten regular season losses;
d) If not determined by (a) or (b) or (c), seeding amongst tied teams shall be determined by comparison of the winning percentages of the tied team(s) against the remaining highest ranked Big Ten teams in conference games, successively, until the determination is accomplished or all Big Ten regular-season contests have been considered;
e) If not determined by (a) or (b) or (c) or (d), seeding amongst tied teams shall be determined by comparison of total goals for and against each team in contests between (among) tied team(s) in conference games. For sake of clarity, a team's goals-against shall be subtracted from its goals-for, in order to compare;
f) If not determined by (a) or (b) or (c) or (d) or (e), seeding amongst tied teams shall be determined by the flip of a coin.
In the case of ties among three or more schools, the criteria will be used in order until a team, or teams, is separated from the pack. At that point, the process will begin anew to break the "new" tie. In other words, when a four-way tie becomes a three-way tie, the three-way tie is treated as a "new" tie and the process begins with the first tie-breaking criterion.

The math hasn't changed, other than 2 or 3 points has us hosting next week, as the scenario of that not working can't happen. One pt is still a risk, and a loss gets us a ticket refund for sure.
Without a BIG improvement in team defense tonight we can all start making travel plans for next weekend. The constant giveaways have to stop. Team has shown the ability to win this game. But will they do it? Go Blue!!
