Michigan Wolverines 2015-2016 Season

Re: Michigan Wolverines 2015-2016 Season

Actually, I don't see it. We won the regular season, and I watched your team choke in person. You had way more top end talent, but found some way to squander it. We actually over achieved, and you did not.

Of course you don't see it, because your head is up your ***.

Overachieved* when you won the regular season and still didn't make the tournament? That takes some special kind of incompetence.

Just think...........what North Dakota did this year could be Michigan next year if Red retired.

Oh well. Another rousing season of giving up 6 per game to OSU on the way

Wow. Is this Michigan intellect at work?

I'm not usually one to defend Happy, but look carefully at your statement, think real hard, and tell us if you see something, GoBlue.

Doubt it.

Winning the regular season title and not making the postseason is hilarious. Minnesota did not overachieve. Look at their roster full of NHL draft picks.

It's especially hilarious when you have fans of that team chirping in the thread of the team that ended their season.

First of all, direct measurement of the two teams. 3>2. So by that very direct measurement, for this season Michigan>Minnesota.

Not sure how to change that fact.

Relative achievement. Sure, one could say that we should have won the regular season.

Post season. We clearly won that in your home. And we made it to the ncaa even without the championship. So there is that, too.

Now for us to underachieve- I don't see that much.

For you to overachieve just by winning the regular season- were you supposed to suck so very badly that that becomes a major achievement? How bad do you regard your team?? I always think you should be good just like us. What kind of "fan" had such low expectations of a program like our two?

Geez.

Parise, Happy got you to really swallow that one, didn't he? Nothing to do but cut the line.

Re: Michigan Wolverines 2015-2016 Season

I'm plesantly surprised that it is not August....

When he didn't announce right away, I figured he was waiting until after the Hobey Baker presentation (whichever way that was going to go).

Now we just wait to see what Compher will do. I was shocked last year when our would be 2 year captain Copp left. Will Compher be a 2 year captain, or will he follow his line mates?

Re: Michigan Wolverines 2015-2016 Season

Pretty major defections (but understandable as you've got a handful of Hobey finalists).

Do you guys think you can compete for the B1G title next year (I would imagine vs. MN, UW)?

Probably best to focus on the playoff championship, don't you think? What with the autobid and all. :p

You think UW can turn it around that quickly? I am thinking a couple years for them. Kunin and/or Besse could conceivably leave and they would be pretty bare. Even with them, there isn't a lot to work with.

As for MN, without one or both recruits with scoring potential recruits coming in, I don't see much of a jump in expectations.

Has Motte announced a decision? Haven't followed that closely. (Wasn't there an early departure thread? Or is there a spreadsheet somewhere?) If not, what is common thought on him?
