Got a note earlier today from mgoblue telling me that 15 wolverines are going to nhl camps.

Good that we have talent on paper. Bad that we've not seen it for some time

And worse that it may lead to even more players not showing up in the fall.

I posted something similar on tLodge thread a while back, but it you or anyone else intends to make the NY Capital District trip, be advised that although the RPI game is unlikely to sell out, it is Family Weekend and the football team will be out of town, so there should be more than the usual attendance. This means that the few hotels in Troy have probably sold out already, but most likely you will want to stay between the two venues by the airport or in Latham anyway. The Salt Dome in Schenectady, due to its size, will probably sell out.

How good do you guys think Kyle Connor will actually be? I've personally never seen him play, but I hope he can carry over some of the scoring touch from the USHL. Idk if he can replace Larkin, but we need some more consistency from our top 6. Really hoping JT can prove himself this year.

Late reply- but Zach's recent interview had some comments of Connor- being positive. I don't know much about him- and have stopped paying attention to new players until they step on the ice in October.

True. I always hate the summer when things get quiet. Always makes me nervous. I am starting to get excited for this season, though. One month until school starts, two months until the first exhibition game...the season is going to be here soon enough, boys.

Blue Jackets twitter reporting Werenski will return to A2 this fall. I want to believe it, but I've been hurt before.

Met Zac Nagelvoort yesterday. Nice guy. I think we are going to make more of an effort to meet some of the team this year- we were given a tiny bit of a hard time from a rather senior hockey person for being a Deker for so long, but not really getting involved. So we are going to try to get over our shyness and intimidation so that we can get to know the players.

Zac mentioned that one of the current team is even an engineer!

That's what the players want, to be treated like regular people. That being said I do not know any of the current players personally. I knew the team from 04-07/08?

Michigan Is returning 250 pts from last year, PSU 186, Minn 174 and MSU 152. I expect Minnesota to pass PSU in votes for second. Michigan will be the preseason favorites and probably top 5 nationally.

While we *might* be the favorites for the B1G, it's because the B1G will probably have high suckage (again) this year, and IMHO, the idea of being top 5 is a major stretch.

I don't see Michigan being that great this year either but I desperately hope that I'm wrong. Don't get me wrong, they'll be decent but just not elite. I only hope that they can string it together for an entire season.
