Michigan Wolverines 2014-15 season

Re: Michigan Wolverines 2014-15 season

This statement is correct. But that doesn't make you the biggest game on the schedule. The Gophers hate North Dakota more. The Badgers hate Minnesota more. BC and BU hate each other more. And Tech certainly hates NMU more. Those are the biggest games on their schedule, not Michigan.

At Michigan State, Ohio State, Ferris - no question. But not everywhere.

Some people like to take it more seriously. Which is fine. Others don't. Which is fine.

Does anyone want to play in a Fantasy Hockey league? Just give me your email if you do and I'll send you an invite.

Re: Michigan Wolverines 2014-15 season

Anybody making the trip to Ferris?

We all must be still a little stunned by the idea that you are talking about THIS WEEKEND- Oct 4.

And we have home games next week- 10/6 and 9.

We are not going to Ferris, but apparently the game will be on TV.

Can't wait for this season to start- give us a distraction to what is happening across the atheltic campus from Yost.

Where will the game be on TV? I've not seen anything about TV coverage (of course I didn't look much after seeing on mgoblue that it wasn't)?

Re: Michigan Wolverines 2014-15 season

Talcott reported out for awhile with a dislocated shoulder. Nagelvoort to start in Big Rapids.

Re: Michigan Wolverines 2014-15 season

I'm ready for hockey season! Not making the trip to Ferris (going to the ALDS Sunday with boyfriend and decided 3 days in a row of attending sporting would be too much).

I still can't get over this idea of having a game that counts before our two exhibition games.

Go Blue!

Ok, nevermind. Major main fart, ah heck I screwed up, game isn't until tomorrow night...

Re: Michigan Wolverines 2014-15 season

The MSU-Michigan TBA game finally came out. It's at JLA, so if you need another reason to hate Brandon after this week, he sold your second home game against us.

I'm no fan of pizza man. In fact I may very well be one of the loudest calling for his dismissal.

However in all fairness for the past 25 years (at least) there has been one of the MSU-UM games moved to JLA, usually in late Jan. or early Feb. with the two teams alternating who's home game it was. I am pretty sure last year U-M had two in Yost against MSU and one each in Munn and JLA. So this year it is U_M's turn to move a home game there. I believe U-M will still be considered the home team.

Like we need more reasons

Need, no, but one can never have too many.

I will NEVER forgive him for how they (mis)treated the long time season ticket holders for Men's Basketball when they brought in the "PSD" AKA "Extortion Fee". That's the thanks I got for shelling out my hard earned "Benjamins" for season tix even when they couldn't give tickets away and people called me crazy for doing so. Do the names "Ellerbe" and "Amaker" bring back any fond memories?

Well, they could have folded. But they didn't give up, at least.

Hope Nagelvoort doesn't have a bad game like that one again.

Oh, well,.

Gotta cut the boys some slack. FSU lost one game at home last season and that was in October. They are a very good team and we weren't ready- giving up a breakaway on a bad defensive line change in the first half minute, then turning the puck over in the offensive zone leading to a screen shot goal before a 1:03 was played. I am not faulting Zach on either- they were good shots. The third goal on the PP was also a screen shot that he should have come out on. The one goal they needed to get back was the shortie. Tyler Motte had just gotten stoned by his brother and the boys were slow to get back after Ferris rushed it out. Downing missed a check in the defensive zone and no one picked up the trailer who deflected a pass by Zach.

We controlled the entire 2nd period up until that shortie and also played well in the 3rd. Ferris was just hanging on. The speed of the game was tremendous for an opener. Both teams were sloppy in their own end, something we have become accustom to with our defense.

I like our team, I like the offense- but the same mistakes occured at the end of last season where defensive responsibilities and safe plays out of our end seem to be forgotten. Need to improve.
