Michigan Wolverines 2013-14 Season Thread: The B1G Time

Re: Michigan Wolverines 2013-14 Season Thread: The B1G Time

Nothing has been said about that. They are still selling the white jersey with the Block M ICHIGAN across the front. Maize and blue piping on the bottom. Who knows what Barnum and Bailey circus designs they come up with next.

Yeah. I'm kinda...just leave it. In most cases, fans don't care...at maximum its a bit of a distraction. But as with a 100 other inane topics, its something to talk about :)

It does seem MI has some good players coming in. Werenski next year?

Zach Werenski is on the current roster, #13, and should be in the lineup come October 4th. Will be one of the youngest ever to play at Michigan but should be pretty good.

Werenski will be the youngest since Mike Cammalleri and Jason Botterill before him. There are a few other freshmen that should hold their own also. I'm cautiously optimistic that this team will be consistent for the whole season, not just the first half. Really young, though and probably not a big threat to Minnesota or some of the other conference powers like BC, Ferris, Lowell etc- teams they will play this season. Just not enough mix of age/maturity and talent. Maybe one more year away.

Congratulations Ann Arbor. You've still got Brady Hoke, but you won't be getting Mel Pearson. He just signed a 5 year extension at The Michigan Technological University.

I'm not sure even Red could answer that question.

I bumped into his son Gordie a few years back and we talked about it briefly. Gordie said his family supports him coaching, it keeps him young. However Joy (Berenson's Wife) would like him home more but knows that Coach Berenson really feels a drive and purpose to keep doing what he is doing. Gordie also mentioned that his Dad would step down if he thought that he was in the way. Who knows if that will happen though?
