Tech needs a bye week because we gave up enough goals on Saturday to cover another two games this weekend as well. If we could spread our goals allowed over ALL Fridays and Saturdays (even the days we don't play) I think our GAA would be pretty reasonable...

But seriously, anyone that attended the games - Was Friday that good, or was Saturday just that poor? It seems like Tech is just getting shelled on the PK this season.

Saturday ugly, pure ugly.

Friday wasn't a great game either, giving up 50 shots isn't something they'll want to keep doing, but it didn't seem like Duluth got as many quality chances out of those 50 shots as they should have. Tech did a very good job of getting sticks in the way and doing just enough to break up most of the potential quality chances UMD had. Tech also did a very good job of clearing out rebounds on Friday night. When Duluth did get a quality chance, Genoe seemed up to the task a made a big save.

tUBW forfeits after their top line is arrested for attempted robbery in the parking lot of the local gas station. They attempted to flee in a Prius, while neglecting to realize that a Prius is just about the easiest motor vehicle to spot. Tech wins.

Personally I blame the rest of the Misfits for sunshining Genoe into a sieve state of mind. :p

I think Tech took waaayyy too many penalties on Saturday compared to Friday. Sure, UMD got a lot of shots on Friday, but they got a lot more quality shots on Saturday due to the large amounts of 5x4 and 4x4 play.
