Re: Michigan Tech Season Thread Part V: We Were Dead On Arrival

I never drink (heavily) before broomball.

I've averaged almost 2 points a game so far. :D
I've never drank before a game, I'm averaging 2.42 points per game. My next goal this season gets me at 100 goals in my career! I should take the game ball as a souvenir but they might have an issue with that haha.

Re: Michigan Tech Season Thread Part V: We Were Dead On Arrival

There's definitely some PIMs in there that went unrecorded. And my goalie stats must be so putrid they weren't worth recording. :p

I do remember my best game in net was a 4-3 overtime loss when I played with the SEB team. We were about 30 seconds away from a tie, but one fat rebound ended it.

Heh, I just looked at the stats page, apparently my roommate was tied for the leading scorer of D-Gel Dynasty.

edit: I wonder if my 5 minute major was recorded....
edit2: nope!

I think I am a decent broomball player. I have never drank before or during a game either mostly because I turned 21 last year, but was on co-op and missed that season. :( That may change this season though.:D

Heres my stats from 2007-2008:

W L T G A P PM
8 19 0 19 17 36 8

They were competing the entire year to see who would come out on top, it was the only way they could stay competitive, competing among each other.

Wait...we didn't even beat Sparks of Insanity - didn't they no show?

All I remember is that in spite of Phil's goals against average, he had some Hasek-like moments in the crease that year.

Yeah, they were a no-show, so we scrimmaged. And technically my goal was in the first game that year, but I wasn't officially on the roster until later for some reason.

In the last game though, we had the epic goalie fight. :D

How'd you get 2.42? 137 points in 66 games is just over 2 ppg.

Re: Michigan Tech Season Thread Part V: We Were Dead On Arrival

Mine was!!! :)
I'm kinda ****ed that mine isn't...though it was complete BS, well, I did spear the guy, but he slew-footed me first, and they completely missed that. But tDarkness was not the ref, so I blame that. That was also my second to last game ever, since after that game my team told me I was too competitive, so I told them to **** off, there's no point if I'm not going to be competitive.
They came back after about 3 games because they were short a player and I was still on the roster...I demanded to be moved to forward, since I had never played it before, and proceded to score on my first shot and got another one in the game (which is mysteriously not recorded...). Then never played again.

They were so good it wasn't even fun to watch them win 22-0
They finally got challenged late in their playoff run, like in the championship game. :p

Reffing broomball is hilarious cause for teams that where dead serious I would call every penalty there was against their team otherwise, just cause they get so pi55ed, otherwise i would just let them play. Hell I shouldve ejected Boosh the one game but only game him a 2 or 5 minute (cant remember) for hitting a kid in the face with his broom

I took out the first season (8 games) because I was in Milford taking class at OCC haha. They never took me off the team, though, and gave me a point on one of the games. So 8 games less and one point less.

I'm averaging around 1.5555555555555555555555555555555555555555 PPG

I don't count the Bones team...that was a joke...and we were even in the DHH league...

Tombstone is the only real team I've been on...this year we pretty much have our hall team again, just all off campus now, we should do alright...I'd like to double my goals from last season though...

Ah, that makes sense. Our ppg are probably actually a little higher because we've missed a couple games on hockey trips.

If you played the games, you gotta count them. :p
