Sounds like some pretty poor planning to not nail down a venue right away and get a contract in place.

Well, UAA has suspended their search for a coach to try and find more candidates. I guess that means Damon Whitten is likely not going anywhere.

sad. I like the Seawolves. and really feel for the fans. who the heck do they think they are going to get better than Whitten or Corbett?

Especially after tacitly telling all of their finalists, "Sorry, none of you are good enough." What a *ing mess.

Bringing a couple 'hockey people' onto their 'reformed' committee is not going to solve any of their obvious problems.

Well the whole process was messed up from the beginning. I think this is them admitting it was and trying to include everyone, though it certainly looks like they are unhappy with the candidates. Maybe they will get it right eventually, but it makes you wonder, and it certainly looks like a huge roping of goats.
I love Whitten and I think we are lucky to have him.

Follow the Huskies Episode 19 is a short one, but it's about some of the work being done to get ready for the scoreboard. Looking forward to an HD webstream!

agreed. you know last year we'd have a few good games, and the fans would start coming out and the rink would be full. Then what did we do , lose. Hopefully that changes this year.

I'll have to remember that. I'll be making a UP trip later this summer, and due to hearing about all the Gopher hockey trips up there, my parents decided to make their annual vacation a loop around the NE UP, similar to the Bar Hop Loop that some of us did last season.
