Well to be honest, I was very suprised to see the image below surface. If this turns out to be Tony's jersey... wow, talk about finding a needle in a haystack! I'm mainly focused on the "k" in the crest and how the black outline gets really wide at one point. I may have a contact who might be able to contact Tony and ask him if he has any photos from his time at MTU that could confirm or deny that this might be his jersey. The photo of Tony came from the 1967 yearbook (school yearbook, not the hockey team). If anyone can send me a high resolution scan of that image I would appreciate it. The search goes on, and it's getting exciting.

Good luck contacting Tony, I was listening to 1500 ESPN a few weeks back and Lou Nanne was on talking Wild hockey and said he had dinner the previous night with the Esposito brothers in FL. Good luck!

It hasn't been said, but Brent Baltus is coming in this fall, correct? if so I think he will compete quite well for a starting job.

If anyone is coming into SE michigan for games this year feel free to contact me, I have lots of room for boarders.

ACHA meetings are starting tonight.

If you go back one page, there was a link that he signed his NLI last week, along with Hanna. They will join Heinonen, Leibeiger, Neville, and Sturos. Everyone else likely to be deferred.

Demico Hannoun's brother Dante is likely to be picked in the top 30 in the WHL Draft. Opportunity?

So some Tech students won an online contest to have Ali Spagnulo come up and do her Power Hour concert for the end of the year.

Tech understandably doesn't want to touch this with a ten-foot pole. Fair enough, they can just find a bar and host her unofficially off campus. Until the day of the concert they go throw their weight around at the local bars and three of them all backed out of hosting it. Never mind that Ali and her drummer have already paid for their flights and are on the way up.

its not that simple, there are plenty of college bars with live music. Bad move on the part of MTU. Somehow this is so different than any other night at a college? The bar can still stop serving customers when too drunk.

From what I looked up on the artist, it's promoting binge drinking (that power hour thing), and I can understand why the school and bars would want to distance themselves from that. If the artist were more subtle....different story. I don't agree with the stance, mind you, but I can understand it.

Yeah, totally understandable why Tech wants this as far away from their conscience as possible. Probably liability issues up the wazoo as well. Still a giant dick move pulling strings within the community at the last second, though.

Should have had more communication all around.

Sure doesn't appear as if it was a liability issue, it was all based on threats of losing relationships, whether it be MTU yanking the blueline luncheons from Continental Fire Company or the Houghton County Liquor Control Board forcing the Uphill to abandon their plans to be the 3rd venue.

Are you saying Tech went to ALL the alcohol type venues and told those private business folk, "Do Not let Power Hour Girl into your establishment". Fail to see a connection here. I can fully understand Tech not wanting to have her on campus if they so choose, unless Tech said yes SPECIFICALLY to her group knowing what she was about. There seems to be more then one group not fully communicating to other group(s).
