Tech fans may want to be patient on this hire. Rud was told after he left Houghton that it would be another 2-3 weeks before a decision was made on the position. There may be more USHL coaches from playoff teams that the school would like to interview who are unable to get to Houghton until after the season is done.

I would think Jim Montgomery of Dubuque would be a candidate Suzanne would love to talk to with his extensive ties to college hockey. He would be my top candidate right now.

Because I'm pretty sure I've had a beer or several in the suite at MacInnes. I didn't even have to sneak those in. :)

Where is the doners room located? Sell beer in the stands so the fans can get into the game then. Generate the needed revenue for the next coach.

He even coached for the RPI (ENGINEERS).

A Montreal native, cool. Jim Montgomery and Randy Mckay dual. The french connection in Hoton.

Then MTU can play the RPI Engineers for WC.
He needs an interview for sure.

Then MTU has to open a doners room(like NMU pre Berry era) for the fans to drink beer so they can patiently wait for the hire. Every game would be a sellout.

Just lurking behind the scenes as I have no credible information to add. I do appreciate the concern though! It's not Blais, and it won't be Eades, although I think you would have enjoyed the style of play he coaches, and the program he would run. No information on Rud, but I know Steve Miller would love Green Bay, so he's hoping Rud gets the job.

Am impressed with the candidates you went after, even if they didnt accept. College hockey will be better off with a competitive MTU.
