yeah it got crazy. I didn't see this, but the announcers said the Tech assistants weren't going to shake hand, but Mel herded them out. lots of jawing.
Mel went over to the Minnie bench to shake Lucia's hand. Lucia gave him the quick limp hand, but Mel hung on and pulled him closer. body language win goes to tMel.

Do you mean after the game? After the game analysis is done by Doug Woog. You're right, he knows next to nothing about college hockey...

I wonder if we going to see the coaches get fines. I doubt there fines in the WCHA is there.

I've heard him before and he is just not anywhere close to objective. minny announcers have s***ed for a long time now

He's an All-American and long-time former coach for the Gophers. Then he went on to do color commentating for the Gopher broadcasts for many years.

When he did color commentating in years past he was always very fair and yet cheering for the Gophers at the same time.

Maybe it just depends? Whenever UND plays the Gophers, he always give credit when credit is due. I can't say that for any of the other Minnesota FSN people. The Rug was probably the worst when it came to being objective.

I remember hearing Sonmor scream into the mic, "What they doin' to us here?" He was going on about the refs calling some penalties. The Gopher player could have taken his stick across the opponent's head and then tripped him, and he'd want the opposing player to be called for roughing. It was sad and hilarious all at the same time.
